Worm Fable
Oftentimes you step on a worm
and it bursts sadly.
Once in a life time,
it will
roar,
blow you off your feet,
gouge out your eye,
pull you down deep in to the earth
where a man can barely breathe,
and burrow through your chest
to your heart which it will surround
and squeeze.
Marionette,
it will say, writhe!
And you will obey.
It will ask, why crush worms?
You will say your simple answer.
It will laugh and eat
your brain, clean,
and crawl out.
