Machines and Programs

Machines, all physical, hold
programs, minds of if-then's,
in gestures
of on off or electro-chemical switches.

Books are quiet leverless machines
that hold stories,
programs,
in gestures of ink.

People are machines who hold
programs, with if-then's for all twitches,
in gestures of neural spaghetti and bone.
